Version 1.0 - effective as of May 27, 2026.

Reference language notice: This English translation is provided for convenience only. In case of discrepancy, inconsistency, or interpretation difference, the French version shall prevail.

LEZO, an EURL with share capital of 100 euros, registered with the Nantes Trade and Companies Register under number 921 329 025, with registered office at 21 boulevard Auguste Pageot, 44000 Nantes, France (“LEZO”), operates the Questovery application, available as applicable on the web, iOS and Android (the “Application”).

1. Purpose

The Application enables users to create, administer and participate in treasure hunts or interactive routes (the “Quests”), which may include steps, content, media, teams and game settings.

These user terms of use (the “CGU” or “User Terms”) define the conditions under which persons authorized by a LEZO customer, invited to participate in a Quest, attached to a team or otherwise granted access through the Application use the Questovery services.

The User Terms apply to organizers, administrators, participants, players and, more generally, any person using the Application through access provided, administered or authorized by a LEZO customer.

The Customer remains responsible toward LEZO for the use of the Services by its Users under the conditions set out in the contract between LEZO and the Customer.

2. Definitions

“Application” means the Questovery application, available according to the relevant features on the web, iOS and Android.

“Customer” means the entity that subscribed to or obtained access to the Questovery services and authorized or invited the User to use the Application.

“Customer Data” means all information, documents, content, media, scenarios, answers, progressions, scores, traces, exchanges and other data provided, created, processed or used by the Customer or its Users in the Application.

“Organizer” means a User authorized to create, configure, administer, supervise or monitor Quests on behalf of a Customer or organization.

“Participant” or “Player” means a User who joins or plays a Quest, alone or as part of a team. Depending on the case, a Participant may use the Application through an account, invitation link, QR code, team access, guest session or anonymous session provided by the Application.

“Quest” means a treasure hunt or interactive route created, configured, administered or made available by a Customer or Organizer.

“Team” means the participation group or entity attached to a Quest and carrying the progress, answers, score and, where applicable, related media or traces.

“Services” means all features and services offered by LEZO through the Application.

“User” means any person authorized to access the Services, including an administrator, organizer, participant, player, employee, agent, representative of the Customer or third party participating in a Quest.

3. Access to the Services

To access the Services, the User must have been authorized by the Customer, invited to participate in a Quest, attached to a Team or otherwise granted access through the Application.

The User represents that they have the capacity and authorizations required to use the Application. Where the User is a minor, their use must be authorized or supervised under the conditions determined by the Customer, the Organizer or the relevant legal representative. The Customer and Organizer remain responsible for defining the conditions for minors to participate in their Quests, including any required information, authorizations and supervision.

To provide access to the Services, a QR code, invitation link, Team access, Quest selection, account or any other access method provided by the Application may be supplied or made available to the User.

The User undertakes to provide accurate information when requested and not to use any identity, access or status that they are not authorized to use.

LEZO does not necessarily have the means to verify the identity, status or authorizations of each User. Any person who becomes aware of identity theft, fraudulent use or unauthorized access must inform LEZO at [email protected] and, where relevant, the Customer or Organizer concerned.

4. Access Security

Access to the Application is personal and must not be disclosed to unauthorized third parties.

The User is responsible for keeping their credentials, QR codes, invitation links, Team access, guest sessions and any other access method confidential. Unauthorized sharing of an access method may allow a third party to access a Quest, Team, progression, content, media or other information related to the route.

If an access method is compromised, the User undertakes to inform the Customer, Organizer or LEZO as soon as possible so that appropriate measures may be taken.

The User remains responsible for use of their access methods until the compromise or abusive use has been reported in conditions allowing reasonable handling.

5. Services and Features

An authorized User may use the Services according to their role, the features made available in the Application, the settings of the relevant Quest and the conditions agreed between LEZO and the Customer.

The Services may, depending on the case, allow Users to:

  • create, administer, configure or monitor Quests
  • join a Quest or Team through a QR code, invitation link, Quest selection or other method provided by the Application
  • view Quest content, steps, media and game instructions
  • answer questions or challenges, including by code, QR code, single or multiple choice, text, image or other format provided by the Application
  • progress through a Quest, including where the route includes several branches, unlock conditions or game modes
  • use hints, which may affect the score depending on the Quest configuration
  • view scores, rankings, results, progress histories or route elements
  • submit media, answers, comments or feedback where the feature is enabled
  • use geolocation or route tracing features when provided by the Quest and when the required permissions have been granted.

Some features depend on settings defined by the Customer or Organizer, including game mode, media feed activation, Team start conditions, geolocation, photo consent collection, feedback questions, hints, scores and rankings.

The User acknowledges that certain information related to their participation in a Quest may be visible to the Customer, the Organizer, members of their Team or, where necessary for the operation of the Quest, other Participants in the same Quest. This may include the Team name or image, progress, answers needed to calculate rankings, scores, results, feedback, media published in a shared media feed and information strictly necessary to display the Quest.

Location traces and data from Participants in other teams are accessible only within the limits provided by the Application, applicable permissions, Quest settings and the Privacy Policy.

6. Changes, Availability and Suspension

The Application and Services may evolve. LEZO may offer, modify, suspend or remove features for maintenance, security, correction, improvement, technical evolution, legal constraint, third-party provider decision, app store rule, contractual scope change or breach of these User Terms.

Where reasonably possible, LEZO informs the Customer or relevant Users of significant changes, suspensions or maintenance operations.

The Application is in principle available 24/7, except for scheduled or unscheduled interruption due to maintenance, security, updates, technical incident, unavailability of third-party services, force majeure or any other cause external to LEZO.

LEZO is subject to a best-efforts obligation. No quantified availability commitment, continuous operation guarantee, compatibility with every device or resolution within a specific timeframe is provided to Users under these User Terms.

LEZO may suspend or restrict any access in the event of security risk, abusive use, breach of the User Terms, manifestly illegal content, infringement of third-party rights, authority request, technical constraint, behavior affecting the operation of the Application or instruction from the Customer within applicable limits.

7. Personal Data

LEZO's Privacy Policy is accessible from the Application or Web Application.

In connection with the Services, LEZO may act:

  • as a separate data controller for its own processing operations, including account management, security, support, administration, technical improvement, billing, compliance with legal obligations and defense of its rights
  • as a processor where LEZO processes personal data on behalf of the Customer, including to provide, host, synchronize, maintain, secure or support Quests and related data.

Where the Customer acts as data controller, the Customer is responsible for informing its Users, Participants or players of processing operations carried out under its responsibility, including in relation to its content, routes, offers, participation conditions, photos, media, geolocation, consents, commercial relationship or first-level support.

Where LEZO receives a rights request concerning processing performed on behalf of the Customer, LEZO may forward the request to the Customer or reasonably assist the Customer under the applicable agreements.

8. Intellectual Property

The Application, Services, interfaces, software, technical foundations, methods, models, trademarks, logos, domain names, LEZO-owned content and any element associated with Questovery remain the exclusive property of LEZO or its rights holders.

These User Terms do not grant the User any intellectual property right over the Application or Services. The User only receives a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-assignable and non-transferable access and use right, within the limits of their authorization and these User Terms.

The User shall not copy, modify, distribute, reproduce, sell, rent, license, decompile, disassemble, attempt to obtain source code, bypass technical protections or create a derivative work from the Application, unless authorized in writing by LEZO or permitted by mandatory law.

Customer Data, content, media, scenarios, texts, images, videos, sounds and other elements provided by the Customer or Users remain subject to the rights of the Customer, Users or relevant third parties. The Customer and Users warrant that they have the necessary rights to use them in the Application.

9. User Obligations

The User undertakes to:

  • use the Application fairly, in good faith and in accordance with these User Terms
  • not use the Application for illegal, fraudulent, abusive purposes or purposes contrary to the rights of LEZO, the Customer, other Users or third parties
  • not publish, transmit or store illegal, misleading, insulting, defamatory, discriminatory, violent, pornographic, privacy-infringing content or content contrary to public order or morality
  • not infringe third-party intellectual property rights, image rights, personality rights, trade secrets or confidentiality obligations
  • not disrupt the operation of the Application, bypass its security measures, impose a disproportionate load, use robots, scripts, scraping tools, denial-of-service attacks, viruses or malicious code
  • not manipulate identifiers or access methods to conceal the origin of an action
  • not provide a third party with a service using the Application without LEZO's prior written agreement.

The User reports to the Customer, Organizer or LEZO any abuse, manifestly illegal content, security incident or unauthorized use of which they become aware.

10. Liability

LEZO is not a party to the relationships between the Customer, Organizers, Participants, players, venues, partners or the Customer's end customers.

The Customer and Organizer remain responsible for their Quests, content, routes, locations, participation rules, safety instructions, Participant supervision, commercial terms, user information, authorizations, consents, media rights and compliance with regulations applicable to their activities.

The User uses the Application under their own responsibility and must comply with the instructions of the Customer, Organizer, visited locations, authorities and applicable prudence rules. The Application does not replace the User's attention to their real-world environment, including during movement, outdoor activities, crossings, interactions with public places or use of geolocation.

To the extent permitted by law, LEZO shall not be liable for damages resulting from content provided by the Customer or a User, misuse of the Application, unauthorized access resulting from sharing credentials or QR codes, network unavailability, incompatible device, third-party service, decision of the Customer or Organizer, or an event external to LEZO.

Nothing in these User Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.

11. Changes to the User Terms

LEZO may amend these User Terms to reflect legal, technical, functional, contractual or security developments.

If LEZO makes substantial changes to these User Terms, the Customer and, where reasonably possible, the Users concerned are informed in advance by any appropriate means. Continued use of the Application after the new User Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of them, unless another method is provided by the Application or by the contract between LEZO and the Customer.

12. Language

These User Terms may be available in several languages. In the event of contradiction or difficulty of interpretation between versions, the French version shall prevail.

13. Evidence and Archiving

Computer records kept in LEZO's systems under reasonable security conditions may be used as evidence of access, actions, communications, acceptances and technical events related to the Application, unless proven otherwise.
